Cheyanne Stewart found her passion for golf as a sophomore at Dobson High School in 2012. She honed her skills at Dobson Ranch Golf Course, earning a full scholarship to Mesa Community College from 2016 to 2018. Her team won all conference tournaments and qualified for Nationals both years, teaching her valuable lessons in course management and short game.Transferring to North Carolina A&T State University, Cheyanne helped the new women's golf team achieve three top-three finishes and learned the importance of mental performance. After graduating in 2020, she paused competitive golf and began volunteering at junior camps, which sparked her passion for coaching.
Cheyanne became the Director of Junior Golf at Dobson Ranch Golf Course, expanded her coaching to two high schools, served as an assistant coach at Mesa Community College, founded Golf Gals, became a Certified Mind Factor Coach, and offered private sessions for all ages and skill levels.
Despite her coaching success, Cheyanne struggled with negative feelings during her own games. Exploring mental performance techniques and discovering the "Mind Caddie" podcast transformed her approach. Testing these techniques, she finished second in an AZ Golf Association Amateur Tournament in July 2023 with scores of 82-84-73, experiencing newfound mental freedom.
Now a PGA PGM Associate, Cheyanne aims to further her coaching career, collaborate with golf professionals worldwide, and grow the game of golf in her community.

Jim Morrison is a golf coach who focuses on the physical and mental aspects of the game to help golfers perform at their best and get the very best out of their time and effort playing the game.
Coach Jim believes that developing a wide array of strategies, tools, and techniques to take out onto the golf course is important to realize each individual’s potential in the game. Hard work is a necessary element of improving your skills, but knowing what to work on is just as important.
If you’re a golfer who has been down the YouTube rabbit hole time and time again to no avail, then the PBG approach might be for you. Have you struggled in the past with poor and inconsistent contact and you’ve found it really challenging to gain a sense of clarity on what you’re supposed to do?
Which direction do I go?
What do I practice?
How do I actually improve my skills and stop spinning my wheels?
How do I actually transfer what I’ve practiced to my play out on the course?
All of these questions and more will be answered in the coaching sessions at Perform Better Golf.
Coach Jim has elevated his coaching knowledge and experience in order to provide the best quality instruction possible to his clients. In addition to becoming an associate member of the PGA of America, he has also pursued other certifications such as FlowCode Golf Academy Master instructor, Mind Factor certified, and CFSC certified.
In addition to teaching and coaching private clients, he is also the lead instructor of the Pop’s and Junior Youth Golf Program at Dobson Ranch GC in Mesa, AZ.
Coach Jim holds a BA in Sport Psychology from National University and has served five years in the United States Navy as an enlisted Petty Officer.
